In computer language, a bot is any software that performs an automated task and the class of bot that live in chat platform is called chatbot. Therefore , a chatbot is a computer programme that conducts conversation with human users specially over the internet via auditory or textual methods I.e. chatbot is a robust communication system . In short, a chatbot is another way of humans interacting with systems by giving a response based on the user input.
People are now spending more time in messaging apps than in social media. Messaging apps are the platforms of the future. Appearantly , they both look similar and you may not be able to distinguish them. Chatbot working on hardcoded questions / answers has a smaller knowledge base and skills, and can provide only a particular response to specified questions. In other words, our questions must be particular with the programming given to chatbot. The second type of chatbot is the machine learning chatbot in which the commands need not be so specific. Such machine learning chatbots harness the power of AI , thus giving it a learning brain. The command given to such chatbot may not be so specific. The machine learning chatbots get cleverer the more they are interacted with.
A chatbot is a software which is often powered by machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence to generate appropriate reply to user’s query. The future of chatbot depends largely on the advancements in artificial intelligence. Chatbots can simulate a real human like experience only through advanced natural learning process and improved machine learning algorithms. For this, we have to accumulate a large amount of data. Using accumulated data, chatbots can be made to copy a human communication. Chatbots definitely have made a special mark in the enterprise world and should be utilized by businesses to their full potential. As for the current market is concerned, chatbots are heading towards a bright future.
